Breath of Life

“The ETERNAL formed a human-being from the earth and breathed into the human’s nostrils the breath of life, and the human-being then became fully alive.” Genesis 2.7

“Take not your holy spirit from me.” Psalm 51.11

“All of them were filled with the holy Spirit…” Acts 2.4

“Receive the holy Spirit.” John 20.29

 As Eastertide continues, we consider the Spirit of Life that energizes us and gives us hope and courage. When the disciples were afraid and no longer really living because they were stuck in their fear and hiding, they remembered/imagined/experienced Jesus coming to them and enlivening them with the reminder that the Whole Spirit of Life (holy Spirit) was theirs to receive/experience. Remembering that divine Energy was the truth of their lives, they were able to come back to life and continue to raise up a movement for justice, healing, and empowerment – the Church. We continue to experience Resurrection Power as we connect with the holy Breath of Life within us.
