Volunteers
Everything we are able to accomplish is because of wonderful volunteers who give of their time and talents to this ministry. Volunteering is the perfect way to offer yourself in service and it’s a great way to build community and get to know people.
Here is what we especially need currently:
Easy Worship / PowerPoint Projectionist
To operate Easy Worship / PowerPoint presentations projected during services. Six month commitment requested; training and equipment will be provided.
Videographers
To videotape Sunday morning services. Six month commitment requested; training and equipment provided.
Choir Members
Our Cathedral Choir is continually receiving new members of all voice parts. A dedication to attending weekly Thursday night choir rehearsals and two Sunday services per week is required. Also, during holiday seasons (such as Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter), choir members attend additional rehearsals in preparation for additional services. Ushers & Greeters
The Usher/Greeter ministry is particularly important, as these are the people who often have first contact with visitors and who attend to special needs of congregants. Greeters greet everyone with a smile and a bulletin and Sunburst. Ushers pass out and collect attendance registration booklets, collect offering, count attendance, and give welcome bags to first time visitors. They also ensure that those who are hearing impaired receive a listening device if requested and they ensure that young children receive a coloring book and crayons. Currently, we are in need of Ushers and Greeters for the 9:00am service. At least a six month commitment is required.
Hospitality Team
The Hospitality Team ensures that refreshments are provided before and after the 10:30am Sunday service. Team members prepare and set up food in the social hall before the 9:00am service. The team also occasionally provides refreshments for special events at the Cathedral. At least a six month commitment is required.
American Sign Language (ASL) – 9:00 AM service only – by request.

Loaves and Fishes Team – Loaves and Fishes is an outreach ministry of the Sunshine Cathedral that provides nonperishable food items to area food banks and distribution programs. Thank you for continuing to share the light by giving generously to those in need.
