COVID-19 Worship Protocol
Note: Seating link is toward the bottom of this information.
Sunshine Cathedral Member and Friends — welcome back to worship under the “new normal”. Worship as we once experienced at Sunshine Cathedral is no longer available for the time being due to COVID-19.
As we prepare to welcome you back to worship at Sunshine Cathedral, we are able to do so because of the the Center for Disease Control Guidelines & Broward County – City of Fort Lauderdale Reopening Plan.
Here is what you need to know in order to return to worship at Sunshine Cathedral. These guidelines will be strictly enforced.
Please be mindful of this information:
Elderly, as defined for COVID-19, and other at-risk individuals are asked to remain home and participate through online options.
If you are ill, please remain home.
Arriving and Parking
We are asking everyone to please utilize the paved parking lots and not park on of the any grass area. When you park, please leave one parking space between each car. If you have to park on the grass, please observe the same parking spacing distance.
Preparing for Worship
As noted from the City & County under Phase 1 Reopening: Places of worship should limit the size of the assembly to be no more than 50% of capacity, which is in line with mandatory restrictions set for restaurants and other businesses. Sunshine Cathedral will reopen at 25% of our seating capacity which means only 125 seats will be opening for worshippers.
In order to attend the 9AM or 10:30AM service, you must make a reservation and select your seat through the online reservation link on our website. No one will be able to enter the worship space without a reservation. No exceptions. This is necessary to maintain safe distancing. We don’t enjoy enforcing these limitations, but they are necessary during this public health challenge.
Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the service you wish to attend.
The below applies for both services (9 am and 10:30 am)
All attendees must wear a mask while you are at Sunshine Cathedral (bring you own).

Individuals will be escorted to their assigned seat(s).
During the worship the following must be observed:
Once inside the worship center individuals are asked to respect social distancing.
